A number of years ago I received a unique gift from someone special… It is an 8×11 print for my office with a painting of a woman wearing a red dress complete with flower in her hair. Etched over the dress is the following poem.
the
whispers of our
lives want
us to take notice.
they may just be
whispers, small voices
tucked deep inside
the pockets of our hearts,
but we must hold their
possibilities close to our
chests and
allow them to step into the light.
This print and poem is part of The Kelly Ray Roberts Collection. Author and artist Kelly Rae Roberts started her career as a social worker but later decided to follow her heart’s passion to become an artist. After ignoring a yearning for art most of her life, Kelly Rae finally put paint onto paper, and she discovered a whole new world. Her dream of pursuing art became a reality, and Kelly Rae’s work is now collected and cherished worldwide. Her unique look of layered mixed-media includes acrylics, oils, collage and ink, and her designs are featured in many publications and art festivals.
